madisonantiqueMadison is included in the 2009 Tour for the Antiques Roadshow.  The event is taking place on Saturday, July 11, 2009, at the Alliant Energy Center.  It will be located in the Exhibition Hall.  There is a drop-off area in the front of the Exhibition Hall if you need to drop something off prior to parking.

You must have a ticket to attend the Antiques Roadshow and the tickets have all been distributed and there are no tickets available at the door.  I did see some tickets for sale on Ebay if you are interested in purchasing one.

I have waited for a long time to get in to one of these shows where I didn’t have to travel for miles.  You can bring 2 items to the show.  I am bringing my Grandmother’s antique night stand and an antique Monopoly game.  Needless to say, I have my tickets already to get in.  It should be fun.  I have never been to one of these shows before.

I have looked up information on the Internet to see what something is worth but they say unless you actually get to a show or something similar to this that you really won’t know what someone is willing to pay for something.

They do ask that you don’t arrive more than 30 minutes before the entrance time on your ticket.  There will be concession stands open for refreshments for purchase at the Convention Center.
