I had no idea just how many different options there were for parking on the UW Madison Campus, depending on who you were and where you belonged as far as parking went, until today when I heard someone really grumbling about it.  I don’t mean they were a little ticked off, I mean they were really mad over the whole thing and not understanding where they were allowed to go, for how long, and what it cost if anything, etc.

I decided at that point maybe I needed to write some information on it and refer people to specific places depending on their needs for parking.

EVENT parking sometimes has special parking arrangements to accommodate guests and depending on what event you are at will depend what there is.  Here is a spot that will cover all the different events that you may go to.

PARKING PERMITS are applied for and here you will find about every situation that you may encounter from where to apply, canceling a parking assignment, how to display permit, if lot is full, etc.

CITY PARKING RAMPS are available close to lower campus:  Campus Ramp and State Street, north of University Avenue; Frances Ramps Frances Street, north of University Avenue.

RAMPS AND METERS are also available.
