rrrThe City of Madison has a wealth of information on all sorts of recycling at their site.  It fits in with reduce, reuse and recycle moto.  It is broken down just perfectly.  I did not realize just how many people do not recycle anything until I saw it happening at a friend’s home the other day.  I guess I just never paid attention.  Now that I have seen it happening I thought I better write my 2 cents worth about it.

We are all living on the same planet so I believe I should be able to speak my mind on whether everyone is doing their part or not because it affects us all.  It really isn’t that hard to do, contrary to what many think, especially if your community is set up for it.  I know a lot of communities are not but then maybe that’s when you should get something moving in that direction to help get set up for it.

There are so many little things that each of us could do that would help and maybe even save you money at the same time.  The bottom line is that we should all do what we can to preserve this planet.

One thing you can do is reduce waste by using the computer.  Many magazines and newspapers are on-line now.  Read them on the Internet instead of purchasing the paper version.  Remember to print out from the computer only what you need and reuse the back side whenever possible.  I used to print anything and everything and throw out paper that barely had anything on it.  I don’t anymore.   Be aware the numerous items that can be recycled right in your own city.

Remember that reducing the amount of waste you produce is the best way to help environment.  Recycling and reusing items benefits as well and each of us have a role, a very important one, in doing just that!
