Shop Madison’s Farmer’s Market Every Saturday

I just had my first opportunity this year to visit our Farmer’s Market, in downtown Madison (around the Capitol Square). It’s the Midwest’s largest, most unique Farmer’s Market. You can visit them every Saturday from 630am to 2pm from around April 18th to November 7th.
Nearly 200 area farmers come together to sell their produce. There are also others selling delicious baked goods and beautifully hand crafted items. Everything that is for sale is grown or produced by the person selling it. And that’s not all. There is live music from a variety of street musicians along with a great selection of coffee and pastries to enjoy while you wander around the square.
I had a special reason for going to the market this time. I have a friend who will be celebrating her 50th birthday. A woman by the name of Carol sells these beautiful, what I call over-sized, totes. I had seen the ones with the roosters on them and since my friend loves anything with roosters, I thought this would be a unique gift.
I found what I was looking for. It’s a canvas tote with a shoulder carrying strap. All totes are Carol’s original designs and are hand printed in small batches by Carol. They are a “must have” when you get to the market. In fact, they could help you carry some of your purchases home!
