Come to the 4th Annual Zoo Run Run taking place on Sunday, September 20, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Vilas Zoo which is located at 606 Randall Avenue in Madison, WI.

Olympian Suzy Favor Hamilton is the featured runner this year.  Her running club will join her also to help raise money for the Madison free zoo.   Remember that participating in this run raises money for our Zoo Century renovation campaign which means investment is made by you to our community and will help sustain the legacy of our free zoo.

See site for full description of the courses.  The 10K travels through the UW Arboretum and the 5K travels through the Vilas neighborhood.

There is a pre-registered packet pick-up taking place on September 19, 2009, at 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., a walk-up registration.  The cost is $25 for both walkers and runners.  You can also pick up a pre-registered race packet and T-shirt at Movin’ Shoes at 528 S Park Street in Madison 53715  or phone number is 608-251-0125.

On the day of the race, registration packet pick-up will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Henry Vilas Zoo.  Registration will close 9:45 a.m.

Registration closing date will be Friday, September 18, 2009.

Refreshments and fruit will be available after the race.

A little kids’ fun race for ages 2 go 6 years old will take place at 11 a.m. in the main center of the zoo.
